About

A Brief History

F3 is a national network of free, peer-led workouts for men. Started in 2011 in Charlotte, North Carolina, F3 traces its roots back to a free, participant-led boot camp style workout that the founders of F3 Nation (Dredd and OBT) launched on 1/11/11 at the campus of A.G. Middle School. F3 has since expanded to more than 3,500+ free, peer-led workouts for men in 282 regions across 46 states. This has all been made possible through the volunteer efforts of men whose lives have been changed by their involvement with the group.

The three Fs in our name stand for Fitness, Fellowship and Faith

— the last of which we define as not one specific religion or faith system, but simply a belief in something bigger than ones self.

Our Credo is, “Leave no man behind but leave no man where you found him.”

We welcome men of all fitness levels to our workouts and have no requirement for membership other than that you show up at the appointed time and place and follow what the workout leader (the “Q” in F3 lingo) suggests.

FITNESS

Open to all men of any fitness level, our workouts are peer-led and designed to be challenging for all, while not leaving anyone behind

FELLOWSHIP

Bonds of genuine friendship formed in the pre-dawn Gloom and strengthened through social gatherings, races, and endurance challenges

FAITH

Not a religious organization, but we believe we are not the center of the universe and challenge each other to live for something bigger than ourselves
